Hi, I'm James.
I'm a digital project manager based in Townsville, Australia, working remotely. For the last nine years I've taken platforms and apps from brief to launch: a multilingual content platform that reached millions of readers, a consumer web product that scaled to tens of millions of users, a marketplace, and most recently an iOS app I built and shipped myself.
What makes me useful is the overlap. I plan and communicate like a PM, and I'm technically fluent enough to open the repo, read the diff and ship a component. Developers and designers get a counterpart who understands the trade-offs, and stakeholders get those trade-offs explained plainly.
Outside work I built a house, wired it with KNX, and keep the whole automation setup in a git repo. Some of that ends up in the experiments.
